Kearsney Grab Last Minute Win at Glenwoods Home Court

Kearsney travelled to Glenwood for their third match of the season and while the team was quietly confident, Glenwood had other plans, having played well against Michaelhouse the previous week and having the home court advantage.

Kearsney drew first blood but were on the back foot from that point on with the wind howling across the court, negating the outside shooting. Glenwood camped in a tight zone and out-muscled the lighter Kearsney team which had difficulty scoring inside the key.

The Kearsney boys fought back to lead the game by four points in the final minutes of the game, only to see the lead evaporate as two quick turnovers and scores by Glenwood brought them back on level pegging.

Kearsney played good defence and were able to score from the last two positions of the game to win.  The visiting Kearsney team fought hard under brutal conditions and showed great character to fight for the win.
