The Bloemfontein side showed little mercy as they rampaged to a comfortable bonus-point win against VUT who end their first season without a win.

The Bloemfontein side showed little mercy

Kovsies made a strong start to the game, and by the first break they had already built up a healthy 19-5 lead.

It was more of the same in the second quarter as they went into half-time with a commanding 31-11 lead.

VUT gave it their all, but they simply could not keep up with the pace and accuracy of the Free State side who had the bonus point in the bag early in the fourth quarter.

The powerplay was taken soon afterwards and Kovsies continued their dominance to put the final seal on a convincing performance.
