Tue, 15/07/2014 - 17:03

The Craven Week 2014 rugby festival kicked off with a bang on Monday when players from different rugby unions descended on Middelburg for one heck of a spectacle.

The question on everyone's lips will be "who will make the SA Schools team?". So we've added a few players that we think you should watch! And again please let us know your opinion in the comments!! :-)

1) Sibusiso Nkosi - Wing - Lions - Jeppe

The quick back features in his 2nd Craven Week for the Lions and has made a name for himself at the Jeppe 1st XV. His sidestep and agility make him a force to be reckoned with against opposition defence.

2) Juan Lemmer - Eighthman - Blue Bulls - Monnas

The strong eighthman from Monnas is a solid ball carrier with a strong defense who finished the Wildeklawer tournament with a 100% tackle efficiency.  Lemmer is also very capable of scoring tries at will.

Jantjies plays a good tactical game and is able to effectively make use of opposition defensive holes.

Morne can seamlessly play sevens and 15 man rugby. Rumor has it that Morne will be contracted by SARU and will play an integral part in the senior SA Sevens rugby team in due time. Morne's composure and maturity for the game is commendable as he plays each game with sportsmanship and is a good example for the game of rugby on and off the field.

What about the KZN starting (ahead of kwazi khanyile) scrumhalf James Hall of Kearsney College. A strong nippy scrumhalf with a huge boot, fantastic pass and is great around the fringes.
